Warm Enough to Race: State Meet Kit

November in Michigan is cold, and the state meet is the coldest day of the year to be standing at a start line in a singlet.

A custom top for the runners who qualify. Hats and gloves for everyone who travels to stand in the wind and shout for them.

One hundred dollars a runner, budgeted for the whole squad of twenty. We cannot know in August who will qualify in November, and a runner who makes it is not going to be told the money ran out.

IF WE RAISE MORE THAN WE NEED

The balance stays with the program and goes to the next runners who need help. It does not go anywhere else.
